Winehouse to carry on renting flat |
15 2008 |
| Singing star Amy Winehouse will continue to rent a flat in the east of London after her application to buy a property fell through, it has been reported. The 24-year old had set her sights on a warehouse-style apartment in the trendy region of the capital. However, residents of the complex turned down her application, feeling that the constant media attention would serve to disturb her prospective neighbours. According to the Sunday Mirror, the decision means that Amy will stay in the flat she is renting with her friend, the hairdresser Alex Foden. Just a few weeks ago, the Back to Black celebrity left her long-time home in the north London suburb of Camden to move east, a region of the city popular with both students and professionals looking for both affordable rents and a vibrant contemporary arts scene. ![]() |
