Urban Brits swayed by flexibility of renting

Young urban professionals are more likely to choose to rent a property and put their money into stocks and shares than save up for a mortgage, marketing industry executives have been told.

Regarding the 25-29-year-old demographic, the report read: "Some 40 per cent live alone, with high numbers sharing larger properties. They are typically renting rather than buying, reflecting the transient nature of these communities.
