Tenants boosted by new regulatory body |
21 2008 |
| Tenants of rented property across the UK have been given a boost in their fight against dodgy landlords with the establishment of the National Association of Sale and Rent Back (NASARB). The new body will work to better regulate the growing sale and rent back sector and comes on the back of new guidelines issued by the Money Centre. Among the members of the NASARB committee are John Socha, vice president of the National Landlords Association, Jeremy Law, head of buy-to-let at Bradford & Bingley and Lynsey Swales, marketing and PR director at the Money Centre. "The committee has been put in place to write a code of practice," explained Ms Swales. "All members of the committee have great experience on the sale and rent back sector and wish to put something in place to protect the tenant as well as having the best interest for the landlord." The committee will put forward its new code of practice in a letter to the economic secretary Kitty Ussher, with tenants to see the benefits over the coming months. ![]() |
