Rental property sector to remain strong, investors believe

Despite the current economic conditions, a majority of landlords are confident that the rental property sector across the UK will remain buoyant as demand from tenants continues to grow.

That is the according to new research carried out to coincide with this year's Property Investors Show, which found that 37 per cent of investors are now looking to increase their property assets.

What's more, more than half intend to hold onto their assets as they believe rental returns will keep growing, even if the latest developments in the property market mean that they may not see capital values rise.

Commenting on the study's findings, Nick Clark, managing director of the Property Investor Show, said: "They [landlords] have recognised that the demand for rented accommodation is currently the greatest consideration and is boosting rental yields considerably, particularly in London.

"Landlords can take advantage of the lower prices coupled with rising rents and they are certain to achieve good returns over the long term."ADNFCR-1219-ID-18708552-ADNFCR
