Naked rocker fined for flat noise |

| A Brighton man has been fined by the local courts after listening to heavy metal music and dancing around naked at all hours of the day and night. People renting the flats surrounding Simon Bowker complained to Brighton and Hove City Council called the city's noise patrol team after the music got so loud that they were struggling to hear their own televisions or get to sleep. When environmental health officers arrived at the scene, they spotted the 26-year old headbanging around his flat completely naked. Mr Bowker was charged £3,000 after the court heard that he had been warned about keeping the noise down several times before. "It's about time," one neighbour told the Brighton Argus. "Hopefully this fine will make him see sense. Or at least change his taste in music." The news comes as Sound Generator have put tickets for next year's Great Escape Festival, which showcases the finest new bands in the UK, up for sale, meaning that for three days in May the whole city will be booming with loud music, though probably not naked. ![]() |
