London's Jewish festival line up announced

The all-important question of who is the finest Jewish Elvis impersonator in the land will finally be answered in London over the weekend as part of the Simcha on the Square festival.

Once again highlighting the multicultural diversity of the capital, Trafalgar Square will be given over to all things Jewish to celebrate the religion's High Holy day season.

As well as tributes to the King, top contemporary acts such as the Israeli singer Mor Karbasi and classical artist Estelle Goldfrapp, who will be teaming up with DJ click for an interesting collaboration, will be entertaining the crowds in the square.

Alongside the performances, there will be free food and information stalls on offer, ideal for both foreign students who have moved to London and who maybe want to be reminded of home as well as Londoners from different cultures who want to try something new.

The Jewish Museum in Camden Town will also be opening its doors, hosting a special exhibition showing how Jewish life in London has changed over the last 350 years.

For those wanting more, the party continues well into the night at venues across the city, with Estelle Goldfarb playing more sets as well as music from the London Jewish hip hop band Emunah. ADNFCR-1219-ID-18312399-ADNFCR
