London's diversity highlighted by mass festival

As many as 200,000 people are expected to flock to the East End of London this weekend to take part in Europe's largest open-air Indian festival.

Highlighting the diversity and vibrancy of the capital, which serves to attract thousands of young professionals every year, the two-day long event is to be held to mark the Bengali New Year.

Hundreds of dancers, singers and musicians will get together for the Baishakhi Mela, with the festival due to take place in Weavers Fields, Bethnal Green.

In addition, the world-famous Brick Lane will also be hosting a food festival to mark the special day.

As well as its legendary culinary pedigree, the area of London surrounding Brick Lane is becoming increasingly popular with students and young professionals looking to take advantage of affordable rental accommodation while living in a vibrant part of the city.

The area is also well known for its strong artistic scene, meaning tenant demand keeps on rising. ADNFCR-1219-ID-18587309-ADNFCR
