London gigs set to be electric

Moving to London is often seen by many young professionals and students as the opportunity to try something new, a fact that the BBC have taken as the theme to its forthcoming Electric Proms festival.

Taking place in Camden's roundhouse, the festival will feature some of today's top acts performing their well-known tracks as well as experimenting with new styles and attempting cover versions.

As well as former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney, his contemporary Ray Davies will be playing, as will The Chemical Brothers, Editors, The Flaming Lips, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs and Mark Ronson.

Those not lucky enough to get hold of a ticket for one of the shows will, however, be able to soak up the atmosphere of Camden, popular with young Lononders due to its ideal combination of affordable rent and hectic bar and arts scene.

Just as the bands playing the Electric Proms are to be encouraged to collaborate and try something new, so too is London seen as the perfect place to rent a house or flat with new people and make the most of the city. ADNFCR-1219-ID-18303683-ADNFCR
