London boroughs among the healthiest places to live in UK

The London boroughs of Richmond, Twickenham, Redbridge and Kingston are all among the top ten healthiest places to live in the whole of the UK, a new study has found.

The study, which was carried out by healthcare research groups TNS and CACI, looked at the diets and lifestyles of residents of people across the country, with a number of places within the capital ranking highly due to easy access to parks and green spaces and good food.

In comparison, some of the worst places to live in the UK are located in the former mining districts of the north-east of England and Wales.

However, the study also found that the London borough of Camden, which is consistently popular among those looking for rental accommodation, needs to improve despite the fact that the number of affluent people living there pushed its average score up.

Healthy living is also affected by the number of gyms and leisure facilities located in an area, the study also found.ADNFCR-1219-ID-18417681-ADNFCR
