LDA to rejuvenate London once Games have finished |

| The east of London is to benefit from ongoing development under plans drawn up to ensure that the Olympic Games leave a positive legacy in the capital. Under new proposals put forward by the London Development Agency (LDA), thousands of new homes are to be built alongside the stadiums and media centre, thereby helping to meet the booming demand among professionals looking for affordable rental accommodation with excellent links to the city centre. "The LDA is committed to ensuring that London gets the maximum value from the Olympic Park," a spokesman for the organisation explained. "We are looking at the most effective structure to deliver the regeneration benefits." Over the past few weeks it has been confirmed that a massive new shopping centre is to be built in Stratford, with this part of east London one of the fastest-growing and most popular among both student and professional renters. ![]() |
