Jamie Oliver to launch new Brighton restaurant

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has announced his one-man mission to bring affordable and authentic Italian cuisine to the people of Brighton.

Though the south coast city is one of the most popular places to live for both students and young professionals due to the high quality of life and large selection of flats and houses to rent by the sea, the 32-year old believes that residents are missing out on decent cheap restaurants.

"There are some little places, privately owned by dedicated people, who are doing a good job," he said.

"But they're few and far between and I don't think many of the chains give consistent quality at a decent price. We aim to change all that.

"I wanted to create a local restaurant that is classy, reliable and inspired by what people want -good food, well-prepared, sometimes speedy, sometimes relaxed."

Under Jamie's plans, pasta dishes will start at just £5 and the emphasis will be on organic and locally produced food, something for which Brighton is already well-known.ADNFCR-1219-ID-18308293-ADNFCR
