Inter-continental commuting booming

Britons who want to combine the benefits of working in London with the more laid-back lifestyle of France are taking advantage of the booming rental property sector in the area surrounding the capital's St Pancras station.

Just last week, the new Eurostar link between London and Paris was officially opened by the Queen, with journey times between the two cities now reduced to less than two-and-a-half hours.

Workers are therefore able to rent a flat in the centre of London during the week and return to Europe at weekends.

According to the Daily Telegraph, inter-continental commuting is booming, with professionals looking to take advantage of cheaper prices abroad in order to get onto the property ladder while not missing out on the excitement of London.

Furthermore, the majority of those people buying abroad while also renting a UK property are under the age of 35, the property website Homesgofast.com has revealed.
