| Preparations are well under way for the London Game Festival, which is due to start at the end of the month. Kicking off on Monday 22nd October, the event will be welcome news for those Londoners who enjoy nothing more than sitting in their flats playing video games. According to its organisers, the festivals is "a celebration of games and interactive entertainment", showcasing the latest products and allowing players to show off their skills in front of fellow enthusiasts. Leading professionals will be on hand to offer advice on how to make the leap from playing part-time in a rented flat to getting onto the world pro circuit while those more interested in making games than playing them will benefit from the numerous workshops and seminars to be held by industry insiders. The best games and players will be recognised with the Golden Joystick and British Academy of Video Games awards, with all events and ceremonies to take place at various venues across the capital. ![]() |
