Brighton's Pride revisited |

| An official film chronicling one of the highlights of the Brighton calendar is to be released for the first time. The DVD documents the preparations made in the days leading up to the city's Pride festival, which took place in Preston Park on August 4th this year, as well as showing footage of the best of the celebrations. "I guarantee the DVD will raise the hairs on the back of your neck as you enjoy the festivities all over again," said PJ Aldred, the operations manager at Pride. Around 150,000 people attend the annual event, which has been taking place in Brighton since 1992 and has become one of the largest festivals in the whole of the UK. Brighton's thriving gay and lesbian scene, as well as its contemporary music and arts scene, the good weather and the beach are among the main reasons attracting thousands of new young professionals and students to the city each year, with affordable rental accommodation meaning anyone can enjoy the good life on the south coast. ![]() |
