| It's not just thousands of young Britons who are being drawn to Brighton. The city's buzzing arts scene and idyllic beach are also proving popular with little green men, it would appear, after a spate of sightings of UFOs in the area. Last weekend residents of nearby Uckfield reported seeing more than 60 glowing orbs on the night sky, with residents fearing that they were about to be invaded by extra-terrestrials. "It was like something out of Space Invaders," 20-year old Jamie Smith told the Brighton Argus. "My dad said to come out into the garden and what I saw was the amazing thing I've ever seen. "There were at least 60 of these lights right above us, all in close formation. There was no way they were planes or anything like that According to the paper, this is not a one-off incident. Recent records published by the Ministry of Defence reveal that there were 52 reports of UFOs flying over Sussex between 1998 and 2006. ![]() |
