Brighton housing plan one step closer |

| Plans for a new housing development aimed at meeting the booming demand for property in the south-east of England have moved a step closer to becoming realised after local planners gave them their support. The proposed development in Worthing would see the construction of 117 new homes to buy and rent in addition to a new health club, complete with swimming pool. Though some locals have expressed concerns over the plans, town planners have stated that they have no objections to the plans. "We believe the proposed design meets the good quality design aspirations at both local and national level and will create an attractive and interesting environment for people to live in and enjoy," they stated, according to the Brighton Argus. Given its proximity to both the sea and the jobs and nightlife of London, Brighton and the south-east of England is becoming increasingly popular with students and young professionals alike, with new developments continuously being built across the region to meet the soaring demand for rental property. ![]() |
